About Me
My STORY
I’m Maria Lios, a Founder, Event & Party Planner, and Creative Marketing Professional passionate about creating memorable experiences and bringing ideas to life. I currently completing my Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Event Management, and I’m passionate about building a career in event planning, creative marketing, and brand development.
My career spans entrepreneurship, tourism and hospitality, community events, and brand marketing—from launching Kembang Kemangi catering in Indonesia to coordinating medium-scale charity cycling events, intimate celebrations, and business networking functions in Western Australia.

I see my career as a journey I design for myself, choosing opportunities that inspire me and align with who I am. Career researchers Briscoe & Hall (2015) call this a protean career orientation, building a career around personal values, staying adaptable in the face of change, and taking responsibility for growth. Hall, et. al. (2018) highlight adaptability and internal motivation as key to long-term success. This approach thrives on self-direction and value-driven choices.
For me, that means working in a way that reflects my core values of connection, excellence, creativity, and cultural understanding - .while also making space for a healthy work–life balance for family, personal growth, and the projects that truly inspire me. It bring together experiences from running my own business, planning events and parties, and designing creative marketing to create the products that people remember. This mindset also gives me the freedom to explore new opportunities and adapt when things shift, without losing sight of what truly matters to me.
